HISTORY;
Raezi's mother was a nomad, and her father a wealthy socialite from the city of Cleraine. They met by chance in a market, where Zeisha was set to trading tribal wares for practicalities from the city -- and though little came of it at first, their circuit led them through Cleraine year after year, until their cautious interaction became flirtation and then an all out romantic tryst.

Raezi was born in the desert, far from her father and the city of Cleraine.

In fact, following her birth, the tribe made wide circuits around the city -- as Zeisha's request. Raezi was given a multitude of excuses for this, growing older; that Levi would have thrown caution to the wind and tried to follow them was the one most often given. An inquisitive and precocious girl, Raezi was never satisfied with that explanation -- why not let him try? The life of a nomad wasn't so hard. surely her father would adapt for her sake. But her mother brushed off protests with shrugs and nothing ever came of it. In time, Raezi would come to wonder whether her mother was truly worried that Levi would convince her to abandon the tribe, instead, but she would never receive an answer that put the matter to rest, in her mind.

Thus, Raezi was raised as a nomad by her mother's tribe, learning to ride with the best of them, the bow and the whip, to navigate the sands and to put the needs of the collective over the needs of the individual -- though she was more selfish than most, as a child, a trait attributed to the influence of the blood she'd inherited from the father she'd never met. Still, she excelled at her studies, and her insatiable interest in the lives of city Atsirians made her a valuable liason to them, when she grew older. She helped her mother peddle their tribe's wares in the cities -- every city save Cleraine -- until her 18th year, at which point she finally convinced her tribe to circuit back to that city.

This led to her setting sights upon the city she'd romanticized in her mind for her entire life for the first time, and she fell in love with the entire thing wholly and completely. She remained with the tribe for two more years, growing increasingly distant, always looking forward to returning -- until her Mother finally suggested that perhaps she ought to stay. If she ever saw fit to return, the tribe was open to her -- perhaps not everyone was pleased, but loyalty to one another runs deep among the nomads, and so it was grudgingly agreed.

So the tribe departed without her, and Raezi, then twenty, realized first hand the difficulty of adjusting to city life. She struggled to find work -- her mother had left her with supplies enough to make do, but it was hardly a long term solution -- and she struggled too with prejudice at her nomad's dialect and rough manners. She wandered in true nomadic fashion from job to job -- mostly rough, unglamorous work -- but her curiosity and unshakable confidence, coupled with her cheerful, undefeatable personality made her popular in taverns and inns throughout the city; she became a popular storyteller, her tales growing more and more theatric as time went on and the crowds that gathered to listen grew. She was a curiosity with a talent for words.

When tales of the Prophet and her Goddesses began to spread throughout Atsiria, Raezi took interest at once. The idea appealed strongly to her -- she'd never felt anything barring vague disdain for the Dragons, in what few exposures she had to their beliefs -- and when Melyndra arrived in Cleraine with her daughter and an official doctrine, Raezi threw herself into it completely.

Her skill for storytelling lent itself just as well to a skill for giving sermons, and soon enough her work on their behalf earned her recognition; the Prophet herself chose her to comprise a portion of her small but growing inner circle, to advise her and her daughter and work with the full weight of official endorsement.

Raezi is somewhat out of touch with the strict rules of upper class propriety, and still finds the sudden fame a touch overwhelming, but she does remarkably well with crowds and writes a compelling sermon all the same.

She never found her father, but her work with the growing Goddess Church has filled the void that giving up on that mission might have created.

PERSONALITY;
Though Raezi has made her home in the city since the age of twenty and never gone back, she can still be considered largely eccentric by the metrics of your average city Atsirian. She is largely bereft of the usual censors -- among her tribe, one always spoke their mind and expected others to do the same. There were no secrets; all her acquaintances were family, or near as much, and it is difficult for her to disconnect and treat her acquaintances now as something less. As such, she tends to put her foot in her mouth often and does not generally do well in delicate or formal situations, though since entering into Melyndra's inner circle, she has been making an effort to improve.

Despite this, Raezi is remarkably charismatic; her gaffes are often forgiven due to her sheer likeability, except perhaps by the proudest and stuffiest of residents, and she is not often sent to court them, regardless. Raezi does best with the common man and woman; she is capable of drawing large crowds and building rapport with strangers with ease, so long as she's given the chance.

She is impulsive and a touch hot-headed; she argues her beliefs fervently and passionately. In fact, "passionately" defines the way Raezi acts about most things, whether to her benefit or deteriment or both. She is wholly and utterly dedicated to the Goddesses and what she perceives now to be her true calling in their service.

APPEARANCE;
Raezi has inherited her tribe's darker complexion, marking her for what she is at a glance. She has very light pink hair, medium length, often tied back as it was with her tribe. She's fond of certain shows of excess that never would have been permitted on the dunes; fancy jewelry and fine clothes, in particular, and she sometimes walks the line between tasteful and not. She stands at 5'2" and is very well toned and quite strong; years of hard riding and the rigors of traveling the dunes have seen to that.
